In this feature you will find a tribute to four of the most influential musicians/singers who have passed away in the last couple of years. It have been a shock for me to hear about the news, and to adjust to them, especially considering that I have listened to most of these since I was young. So let the tribute feature begin...

Michael Jackson: 1958.08.29 - 2009.06.25

American singer-songwriter, dancer, actor, choreographer, poet, businessman, philanthropist and record producer. He is commonly known as the King of Pop. He sold an estimated 750 million records worldwide, and has also release 12 number one singles. He was one of the few artists who have been inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His album 'Thriller' is aloso recognised as the Biggest Selling Album of All time in the Guiness Book of Records.

Dimebag Darrell: 1966.08.20 - 2004.12.08

His full name is Darrell Lance Abbott but is mostly known as Dimebag Darrell, Diamond Darrell, Dime or Dimebag. He was an American guitarist, who is the founding member of two heavy metal bands: Pantera and Damageplan, the latter caused him his life, as he was murdered on stage during a performance in Ohio.

Peter Steele: 1962-01-04 - 2010-4-14

His full name is Petrus T. Ratajczyk, but better known by his stage name Peter Steele. He was the lead singer, bassist and also the composer for the gothic metal band Type O Negative. He also player for some time with other metal groups: fallout and Carnivore. He was known for his vampiric looks and his dark sense of humour.

Ronnie James Dio: 1942.07.10 - 2010.05.16

Dio was born in Porsmouth, UK, and continued living his life in America as a heavy metal vocalist and songwriter. He permorfed with several bands, mainly: Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell, and his own project and band, Dio. He was widely known as one of the most powerful and influential singers in heavy metal. He helped popularise the devil's horns gesture, which is now used by metalheads all around the world. Dio was diagnosed with stomach cancer last year, and it ultimately was the reason why he passed away.
